Oakland Commercial District Management Authority (CDMA) Fee

All businesses within the Town of Oakland are automatically in the Commercial District. The Greater Oakland Business Association serves as the commercial district management authority (CDMA) and is funded by the annual CDMA fee. The town government collects the fee on behalf of the association.

Maryland Trader’s License

Unless your business is a grower or manufacturer, it may not offer for sale, sell or otherwise dispose of any goods within Maryland, without first obtaining a trader's license from the Clerk of the Circuit Court and opening a sales tax account.

You must pay the Oakland Commercial District Management Authority (CDMA) Fee before Maryland will issue a Trader’s license.
